Our Han Solo DL-44 Blaster is the result of a years of fanatical research. We've procured all of the original elements that are currently available including Veron model kit cylinders and pushrods, Hensoldt-Wetzlar scopes, and MG-81 flash suppressor and adapter. We've spec'd them all in minute detail. We've searched out the best manufacturers for each of the parts required to duplicate this prop, down to the screws. What we're offering here is incredibly close to the real prop.
How fanatical? Well, we've reproduced every detail that COULD be reproduced, even those details you will never see. Such as the bull barrel threaded at both ends (the original custom Mauser was made for a Frank Sinatra spy movie and had a detachable rifle barrel.) Such as a COMPLETE Hensold-Wetzlar scope with ALL INTERNAL PARTS, painted or left bare exactly as the original scopes. Such as using 3 Veron cylinders to construct the "grille" instead of making an easier, simpler (and cheaper) one piece grille. The scope mounting nuts have straight knurls. The scope tubes are real steel, not cheaper and easier aluminum. The scope adjustment knob has a hexagon pattern knurl.
We start with a metal model gun made by Denix in Spain. We completely disassemble it, and saw off the barrel. We drill a perfectly centered, perfectly parallel hole for the new barrel using a milling machine and custom jigs (we replace the barrel with a new one like the original prop, instead of using a cheaper and easier barrel sleeve.) Then we mill the face of the receiver perfectly flat and perpendicular, and thread it with real gunsmith threads (the same Mauser uses). A new barrel is hand-matched to the threads and installed so that it ends at the perfect angle of rotation without any gap. The rear sight is glued to the top of the gun to prevent it from rattling around loosely (or catching on your costume). Holes are drilled and tapped for the scope mounting hardware, and it is all reassembled and cleaned, ready for it's new owner.
Grab one of these beautiful props while we can still make them available!
Please note that this replica does not hold or fire real ammunition.
Disclaimer: Despite copying the lenses from real original Hensoldt-Wetzlar scopes, they unfortunately do not focus for distance.
QUESTIONS ABOUT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do. But we do not know if these are legal in your country. That is for you to find out.
What about customs?
Paying the import duty your government imposes is your responsibility. Import duty is determined by your government after the shipment arrives in your country. We have no idea what your government will charge you to import anything we sell. We will not refund you the shipping charges if the parcel is returned because you refuse to pay import duty.
How much is shipping to the UK? Finland? Botswana?
Add the item to your shopping cart, go to your cart, then enter your shipping address. You will see real time quotes from USPS and UPS with the available service options and prices. These are the ACTUAL charges with nothing added. We make no money on shipping.
Do you ever have trouble shipping these to another country?
Occasionally, yes. We do sometimes experience delays with blasters going through customs, since they are difficult to classify. It is not unusual to experience delays up to two months in customs. USPS shipments are delayed more often than UPS shipments. About 80% of our shipments get through as expected.
Do you offer tracking?
Yes, both USPS and UPS offer tracking. USPS tracking is quite limited. After the parcel arrives at your country, your government's customs department takes possession of it. USPS can't track it beyond this point. After customs has inspected, classified, and taxed it, it is handed over to a local delivery service. This agency will collect the import duty and arrange delivery. You may be required to pick it up. UPS offers better tracking because they handle the package from door to door, including collecting the import duty.

It was a pleasure doing business with Todd's Costumes.
Very happy, worth the wait to come from the States, quality build and Todd kept in touch to explain the parts issues, really heavy item, no 3D printed parts or skimping on the materials, Cheers for making this available Todd :)
Honestly quite impressed overall. First some quibbles, then my gushing praise: - The flash hider and scope adjustment knob on mine were looser than I would like. I managed to fix the scope adjustment knob via careful disassembly with a small flat-head and tightening some of the internal screws that must have loosened in shipping. The flash hider, although easy to remove/replace /tighten with one screw also does not seem to be able to avoid rattling. This is probably due to the single screw attachment, and may be more the fault of the original prop design than this replica. I suppose a slightly tighter fit on the barrel could help, but I understand that these are mostly hand made. I resolved this issue with a small amount of electrical tape under the flash hider. - The glue holding down the ladder sight has already come undone, not a huge problem, I could probably re-do it if necessary. -Final quibble, I did not realize that the "Factory Finish" model does not include the wood grips. Fortunately I can purchase those separately, but that will mean more disassembly and modification. Not a huge deal, I just wish it was listed in the description so I would have noticed when purchasing. Despite these minor issues I still think this is one of the better, if not best replicas you can get of Han's DL-44. Although expensive, I think it is priced reasonably considering the attention to detail on these. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a high quality showpiece/prop.
After looking at the photos the blaster looked so good. But the one i got does not. the wood looks faded and dull. The scope is loose and has marks on it. The finish is very plastic for such an expensive model sadly. Hope to sell mine.
Absolutely Beautiful. Fantastic service.
This is my first purchase of a blaster replica, it is EXCELLENT, 5 stars, 100% quality and details, I recommend it, great job !!!!!! Thank you very much Todd's Costumes.
Todd has produced an amazing replica of the actual prop used on the film set by Harrison Ford. It is incredibly heavy and will put a massive smile on the face of every Star Wars fan who wields it. I made and painted a 3D printed replica last year, which is exactly the same size and looks fine from a distance, but this is the real deal and is as close as you can get to experiencing what Ford felt when acting out those historic Star Wars close up shots. Thanks Todd, great job sir!
I was amazed at the detail and weight of this blaster! I have seen many replicas in the past and this is the closest you can get to the real movie prop. A must have for Star Wars fans!
Just recieved my blaster today and it's awesome, heavy and sturdy, it did take about a month to get to me but with the way things are now it was to be expected, feel like i can take on the whole empire with this thing.
