This is a real whip, made from layers and layers of genuine leather, hand braided in an authentic method with a 12 strand outer layer (most whipmakers only do eight or four strands to cut cost). No part of this Indiana Jones bull whip is made by machine, it's all hand labor by skilled craftsmen. Indiana Jones Bullwhips of this kind typically cost a lot more - and by "a lot" I mean DOUBLE or TRIPLE the cost. And what's more, you have to wait weeks or months for the whip to be made. We have Indiana Jones bullwhips in stock, ready to ship immediately.
Come on, you know you don't want to wear one of those cheap, junky Indiana Jones bullwhips you get at the costume store. They're all wrong. You're here on this site because you want something better. Amaze you friends with a REAL bull whip. They'll want to hold it and admire the fine craftsmanship. And while you're at it, why don't you learn to crack it to really show it off?
You can choose from three colors and five lengths of Indiana Jones bull whips. We even have little 4' indiana Jones bullwhips for the youngsters. If you're wondering, an 8' bull whip is great for learning whip cracking, and is our most popular size. If you want to go original Raider's of the Lost Ark "screen accurate", choose the "Replica Raiders" option which is 10' long and custom dyed to match the sun-tanned natural color of the whips in Raiders. We do have the 12 footer for you if you want the biggest and baddest.
DO NOT try to crack this before educating yourself on how to do it. There are lots of training resources on the web and in print, such as Robert Dante's book "Lets Get Cracking!" Consult them before you whiplash your face. Whipcracking is a fun skill and good recreation. Be safe! Please keep out of reach of reckless children! Eye protection is HIGHLY recommended when cracking Indiana Jones bullwhips. To keep your whip in good whipping shape please try our Pecard Leather Dressing. Sold Separately.

I've been a whip enthusiast for almost 30 years and have to say that this competes very well with other high priced kangaroo leather whips. I now own two of these and have to say they both have very nice balance, weight, and construction. When my second whip arrived it did need a good amount of dressing, and the tip of the fall has broken a couple of times (not uncommon) but this may have been because it was still a bit dry. Spot-on to looking like the film used props.
Awesome whip for the price!

When I first pulled my whip out of the box, the smell of the gorgeous mahogany leather filled the room; it looks so amazing! Truthfully, it looks/feels like kangaroo hide and I love it! It's pretty heavy too, so it's easy to crack (treat your leather a couple of times first though, as the whip gets slightly dry during shipping). The price that you pay for this work of art is well worth it. Overall, outstanding quality and anyone who purchases this product will not be disappointed!
Shipping is quick as well.

I recieved my 8ft tan earlier this week, and all I can say is wow. I was expecting to be disatisfied, but was pleasantly surprised. For starters, the weight is fantastic. It's so heavy and cracks effortlessly. This stiffness of the core makes cracks loud and smooth. I've been conditioning mine for a week now, as it comes very very very dry, and it's starting to take on a beautiful camel color. I feel these whips are direct competition for their competitors that sell starting at $400.

I have read previous reviews for this whip, and I must say, I'm more impressed with this product that I expected to be. There are a few drawbacks to note. The construction of the whip itself it nice, but it feels lighter and narrower than the real McCoy. The handle is slightly longer than it should be. In short, it's not very screen accurate. Non of those "flaws" if you will, are a detractor for the overall quality. I've only had mine for a week or so. As I have read in previous reviews, the core is not leather, but rubber. If this is still the case, it is likelier the whip will degrade with time and use. This limits the longevity of the whip. To be honest, I'm not sure that is the case any longer, but I digress. I'll tell you this, if you're looking for a whip with a nice price tag as either a starter whip or costume piece, this is your best option. So, in closing, a very nice whip. Not a professional quality piece, but well worth the price. BUY ONE!

This is my first bullwhip and I hit a home run on my first try. I have made some extremely loud cracks that can be heard from a public park, two blocks away. But, I want to bring up how great the customer service for Todd's is. My first whip had one of the leather strips break and Todd's stood behind their product and sent me a new whip within two weeks. I am extremely satisfied with both the whip and with Todd's Costumes I will definitely purchase more products from them.

It looks nice, the pleats on the handle have some separation and that worries me for the long term But I don't know much about whips. It is not as easy to crack as a kangaroo whip of course but it is crackable.
I'd say it is a serviceable first whip and good costume piece.

I've been using whips for the last 4.5 years. I recently purchased the tan 8 footer from Todd's. I've owned several whips, ranging from a little toy 6 footer to a 14 or 16 foot Jrzjoe whip. I wish I had bought this whip 4 years ago. It is definitely worth the money and handles very well. The cracker did come off after using it a few times, but a few drops of superglue can fix that.
Excellent whip at a very low price!!
