"This [Gabrielle] outfit I made for a Creation Convention appearance for the fans and children just for kids for once, not for the agency.

The top is actually made of two things not even clothing! The "sweater" is a towel from Target, dyed the muddy green and threaded with the crosshatching of hand sewn yarn. Its laced collar is a placemat that I "frayed" at the edge with a good tug of war with the neighbor's dog LOL! The panel underneath the collar is a square of green denim pant leg. The skirt is actually a shirt, taken apart. The main portions of it are the back and front, but the side flaps are the arms of this shirt, de-seamed and turned upside down. You can still see the button holes if you look closely. The belt was from Goodwill. It was tan when I bought it, without the characteristic green lacing border which I added. I painted on the belt design usually freeze frame videos as references. The staff is one I purchased from a Renaissance Festival and altered to match the one on the show, using hay twine, alpaca fur from an old Eskimo coat and real leather accents. I painted on the midshaft pattern accents and made the whole thing brown. It is very heavy and looks better than the real thing I've been told! The boots were real leather shorts which I spray painted maroonish. I made the laced up spats from maroon imitation vinyl and glued them on to the short boot underneath in a four way tulip petal pattern. The hair is my own. I made the braided leather hair band. I have no bangs because I have to keep length and style for the Janeway work so these bangs are a hairpiece of human hair sewn onto the hair band itself LOL!
