I
recently received this nice note:
"Hi Todd,
My name is Dave and the attached picture is of my wife Nola. (She's the one in the Xena outfit.)
I made this outfit myself out of leather. The boots were made knee high by cutting the sleeves off an old leather coat and slipping them over a pair of shorter boots.
The shoulder protectors are flat candle holders modified to fit onto the costume.
Basically, the rest is leather that I stitched, glued and sewed by hand.
The sword (which is mostly hidden in this view) is made by Pro Cut, licensed by Universal.
The picture was taken at the Ohio Ren Faire in 2001. No idea who the girl next to her is."
Dave also included a lovely picture of himself and Nola. It looks like
he's made himself a pretty spiffy outfit, too. Great job! Nice design!
