This is Julia Lill, age 17, a Performing Arts Student at Wakefield College, Yorkshire, UK. This is a Gabby/Hope costume she crafted herself to attend the Liverpool Cult TV Festival in 2001, where she performed a complicated monolog between an invisible Ares and Hope! The bodice was sculpted from various scraps of waste drape materials as close to the originals as possible (patterned and imprinted) and closed by Velcro and latigo laces. The belt is doubled kid leather, embossed and hand painted. The skirt is wrap-around heavy cotton, weighted to achieved the desired swing effect. The boots are jodhpur boots with laced gaiters. Oh yeah, and the bad hair is really a wig... who'dathortit?
