If you're going to have an authentically styled sidekick costume then you won't want to go without these. Like the Warrior Princess Boots, I make these over a pair of athletic shoes. I make the uppers from tough, top grain cowhide. I put criss-cross laces running up both sides of the ankle. These aren't easy to make, to say the least. The pattern is very complicated, and it requires a lot of very "unconventional" stitching to make it work. If you want me to make you a pair of these, you provide the shoes (they don't have to be new) and a few easy measurements, and I'll do the rest! |
