I've got to say, this was one of my favorites, but is a real "bear" to make. You might have seen actress Hudson Leick wear one like this on a certain television show. I made the pattern directly from one of her dresses, and trust me, this one is an exact copy right down to the thread. There is only one difference: The silver "mesh" is a fabric I make from soft polyurethane and fabric. The dress she wore used a piece of lace fabric with rubber brushed onto it. That's the only difference.
I make these from thick, soft cowhide leather. For the front I created a sculpted snake design which I molded and cast in flexible polyurethane. I attach a dagger sheath to the left side, with a snap shut retaining strap. The back laces up.
